Youth Zone ~ Step into it

The Mayor of Macclesfield is launching a brand new initiative – ‘Youth Zone ~ Step into it’. Clarissa has been invited to sing at the opening on Saturday, 1st April 2006.
Councillor Norman H. Edwards remarks: “During my Mayoral year I have been immensely impressed by the range of youth activities taking place in the borough. I am heartened by the enthusiasm and commitment of young people and their leaders to the many organisations and causes to which they dedicate their time and energies.”
“It is my view that the lifestyles and contribution of young people to their community are all too often portrayed in a negative manner. Consequently, I have decided that, during April 2006, I would like to initiate a month-long celebration of the worthwhile activities that do take place in the Borough.”
Clarissa was contacted personally by the Mayor of the Borough of Macclesfield who has been so impressed with Clarissa’s devotion to raising money for SANDS - Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society.
Other acts performing on the day include the Macclesfield Youth Brass Band, Poynton Junior Puppeteers and the Silk Youth Brass Band.
