Radio Wishing Well

Clarissa supports Radio Wishing Well

Radio Wishing Well was launched in 1982, aiming to be a “friend at your bedside” it broadcasts to the 600 patients receiving care at Manchester’s Trafford General Hospital.

The station which is run by a team of volunteers, broadcasts during the evening and weekends, hosting special events and playing requests for the patients and their families.

Clarissa was delighted to receive an invite to take part in their recent radio marathon. After giving an interview on her fundraising for SANDS and speaking about her passion for performing; Clarissa gave listeners a treat by singing live on air some of the tracks off her CD.

Clarissa says of her day at the hospital radio station: “Singing live on air was great – and I was thrilled to hear that many of the patients have put in requests to hear tracks off my debut CD Memory. The volunteers’ at Radio Wishing Well do such a valuable job and I was happy to offer my support!”
